Below are what some of our customers say about Silver Divers:

Great Family Feel

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Ryan R. commented on Groupon Mar 12, 2011

I’ve have worked with Sterling Silver Scuba for at least 3 years now. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe during their courses. I have rented and purchased excellent equipment, have had my own equipment serviced, and taken classes and specialty certifications. Every experience keeps me coming back. They have a great family feel and attention in the midst of a “big box” store mentality. The owners are truly passionate about diving and it shows with everything they do and they treat everyone like family.
Although I enjoy diving in many places around the world, I love having my local shop as home. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone I know that is interested in diving. Go S3! :)

Small Shop, Great People, Great Dive Trips

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Adam - Oct 1, 2010

Just got OW certified this year. Their classes are always top notch and they will go over and demonstrate anything you don't understand. I have been on several shop trips to Dutch Springs and they really know how to run a trip that is as challenging or relaxed as you want it to be. In short I'm addicted to diving now and a big part of that is because Jason and Melissa and the rest of the Sterling Silver Scuba staff are good people that know what they are doing and want you to learn.

Great place to go if you are new

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Vincent - Aug 16, 2010
My wife and I started out our scuba hobby with zero knowledge. We got our certification there, and that was what impressed us first. My wife is terrified of being in water that is more than 4 feet deep. However Jason and John were extremely patient and well-prepared to talk her through things. Overall, you can tell these guys really care about their students. She passed and we'll be diving in the Grand Caymans this weekend. After completing the course, they were very helpful in selecting a regulator, computer, and odds and ends for us. They never once pushed us to buy anything. Melissa, the girl that helped us, took her time out to go over the differences between each model. Prices were very reasonable, and the customer service that came with the purchase was exceptional. If you are considering getting certified, you won't be disappointed. If you don't know how to buy, talk to Melissa. They are all super friendly. Vincent and Farrah

Great Shop, Great Staff

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By steacey - Nov 15, 2009
This is the kind of shop that really caters to their customers. We have had such a great experience with everything we have done with Sterling Silver Scuba. The staff is friendly and knowlegeable. They provide great training and make sure you are comfortable with what you have learned. Jason and Melissa, the owners, or any of the staff are willing to help or answer any questions you may have. The trips they take are a blast. We have met many wonderful people through this Store. We plan to take more trips with the group in the future. We look forward to a long relationship .

Another Great Experience...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Kim - Oct 24, 2009
I am fairly new to scuba diving. My husband just recently finished his Dive Master certification through Sterling Silver Scuba and was trying to get me started on my Open Water certification. I had only gone diving once before when my husband and I were down in Jamaica. I did the whole resort diving experience which meant I got a 30 minute crash course on everything there was to know about diving. Needless to say, after that, I was rather nervous about getting my Open Water certification. After talking with Jason Davis, the shop's owner I felt a little better, but was still nervous. Once we got to the pool after finishing the classroom sessions, Jason took the time to help me work through my "fears." He didn't have to take the time to help me, but he did, as did the other Dive Master candidates that were helping out that weekend. That is just how they all are. If anyone in the class had concerns or questions, someone would stop what they were doing and help out. At the end of the weekend, I felt completely relaxed and comfortable in the water. All thanks to Jason and the awesome instruction staff, Dive Master canididates etc... that are there to help out each and every time. I am looking forward to the Key Largo trip next month so I can finish up my Open Water certification and hopefully get my AOW out of the way as well.

Great Friends and Great Memories

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Julie - Oct 15, 2009
Due to some personal issues I came to Sterling Silver Scuba with quite a bit of apprehension but also with a great desire to learn to scuba dive. The instructor Carl, and divemasters Annette and Jeremy went out of their way to make me comfortable. I received my Open Water certification in July 2008 and have now progressed through Master Scuba Diver. I've said many times that if the instructor JF, hadn't helped me individually through some of the rough points in my early training, I would not still be diving. One of the things that I really like about the shop is how they make each person feel like they are the most important customer the shop has. I know in reality that I am just one of many, yet each time I am in the shop or on one of the trips, I feel like I am the only thing they care about. I have made both great friends and great memories with trips to Key Largo over Thanksgiving, Grand Cayman in January, a girls only trip to Cozumel and an awesome trip to Bonaire. Put all this with the monthly trips to Dutch Springs during the summer and there are plenty of opportunities to dive with Sterling Silver Scuba. I recently took the TDI Intro to Tech course and was extremely impressed with the instruction received from Kevin. I look forward to getting more involved in the technical aspect of diving. Thank you Jason and Melissa for making me a part of your dive shop family!

A Shop that invests in their customers

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By BMAN - Oct 15, 2009

Sterling Silver is more than just a Dive Shop. It is a dive community. I have only been diving since Janurary, but have been with the shop since July 08 when my wife was certified. Jason has been incredible and did my Open Water instruction with me in Cayman, even though there were no other students going on that trip. In August, they took a large group to Bonaire, where I did my AOW. On every trip I have been with them, whether as a class or just fun dives, the staff is always willing to help and answer questions. Their instructors love to dive, and they love to talk and share about diving experience. Their goal, which I believe they have achieved is to make the SCUBA experience as safe as possible while keeping it fun and exciting. They teach personal responsibility and encourage their students to learn and get comfortable with the sport. I have 37 dives in the short time I have been diving, and I have done all of them with Sterling Silver, And that is not counting the countless hours spent in the pool getting instruction or just trying out new equipment. Thanks to all the folks at the Shop!

Open Water and beyond

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 By Sans - Sep 23, 2009
I got my first Open Water Diver certification 1.5 years ago with Sterling Silver Scuba. This was and it still is the only dive shop in the area (as far as I know) that takes extra steps and goes to the Dutch Springs,PA for the open water certification classes. The Dutch Springs Quarry is like Disneyland for divers: way better diving experience, clear water, visibility up to 80ft, especially in the beginning of Summer, and lots of things to see. Besides the diving experience it's a fun for the whole family: the water park, overnight camping and friendly and helpful dive shop staff and instructors and many new friends. If you have a busy schedule you can always dive locally in Millbrook Quarry. The Sterling Silver Scuba provides all levels of PADI certifications and if you get interested in technical diving you can follow TDI learning path. Since my first certification I went through a number of specialties classes and certifications and just recently completed the "Intro to Tech" (TDI) class doing open water part in the Millbrook Quarry. Looking forward to do my Rescue Diver certification in the near future. My special thanks: to Kevin Davenport who spent numerous hours as my instructor and dive buddy, to Jason Davis owner of the shop who is always helpful being instructor, organizing the classes, trips, getting the new gear or servicing exiting one, to Melissa, JF and Nathalie, Rob, Carl, Jeremy, Julie and many others who made my scuba diving experience such a good one. If you are looking for the great instructors, friendly staff and new dive buddies and friends come by the Sterling Silver Scuba shop. Happy scuba diving! :)

An email from a student

Sent by Kim - Aug 2009
Hey Jason, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me get through the pool sessions.  As I mentioned, I was rather nervous about going into this after the "crash course" I got in Jamaica...  I felt very comfortable leaving the pool both yesterday and today...  even more so today...  So a huge thank you goes to you and your wonderful assistants...  ;)  You are an awesome teacher!!!!!
